About a year ago, when I was 10, I used to practice mental math with my dad. But as he got busier with work, I had to start learning on my own. At first, it was a real struggle—it felt boring, and I wasn't as motivated. That’s when I came up with an idea to make mental math more exciting. I decided to develop my own video game, combining my love for gaming with the challenge of mental math. The game turned out to be a fun and interactive way for kids to sharpen their mental math skills while enjoying a fast-paced racing experience! Now, anyone can improve their mental math in an engaging and entertaining way by playing Rapid Math Racing!

Why play RMR?

The goal of this project is to determine if kids can have fun playing a car race while practicing mental math. In the game, you race against a computer car while answering math questions to accelerate faster. The longer you spend to answer, the slower your car goes. The more correct answers, the harder math questions. If you get an incorrect answer, the computer car accelerates. By racing, you earn coins so you can buy better cars that are faster.
